twhois is a Twitter interface for the whois service. Get started with four easy steps:
- Start following @twhois on Twitter
- Wait for @twhois to start following you (it won't take more than a few minutes)
- Send twhois a direct message with the domain name and tld you're interested in (
d twhois example.com
) - Wait for a direct message back from twhois with the availability of that domain and a link to more information

You may have noticed that twhois does not fit your needs. In-depth domain searches will be frustratingly delayed by the necessary lag time built into the Twitter API; however, if you're one of those people that frequently has a casual interest in looking up random or unusual domains, twhois can provide this service without interrupting your normal workflow.
